Sweet Vibrations Motorcycle Club is a riding club for women grounded within a framework of sisterhood. We are committed to safety, continued education of the sport of motorcycling, and full enjoyment of the motorcycling experience. We believe both in safety of the individual and the collective group and are dedicated to sharing our knowledge about all aspects of motorcycle riding. Sweet V is Atlanta’s special edition to the women’s motorcycle scene. Founded in 2002 by Val Acree (Stinger V), Simone Bell (SPEAK), Karen Wood (Special K) and Jena Jones (African Bee), Sweet V is made up of professional women who ride all types of motorcycles from sport bikes to cruisers to touring bikes. Sweet Vibrations MC- Women who love to ride. Our monthly rides have taken us on tours all over Georgia as well as, Tennessee, historic Charleston, SC and Alabama. We have twice tackled the Hell Bender and slew the infamous Tail of the Dragon of TN SR 129. Our annual 4 day riding trips have included rides to Cherokee NC, Gatlingurg TN, Destin FL and Myrtle Beach SC. Throughout the year, we plan rides for beginner as well as experienced riders so that all levels of riders can participate. Because safety and respect of the motorcycle is important to us, our bi-annual Safety Practices are mandatory for all members. Visiting riders must provide a valid motorcycle driver's license, proof of insurance and sign a waiver of liability. Sweet Vibrations MC- Women who give back We are proud to have sponsored the Atlanta Women and Children's Shelter by hosting a Back to School Supply Drive. Our efforts yielded over 100 backpacks filled with various school supplies as well as much needed children's clothing essentials. In addition, each year we are honored to give more than 120 volunteer hours in support of For the Kid in all of us, . Since our inception, Sweet V has supported rides for Hosea Feed the Hungry, Hurricane Katrina victims, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Blue Knights, 100 Black Men of Atlanta, and Atlanta’s Gay Pride. In 2008, we hosted a voter registration drive in which we registered some 75 voters including an 84 year old great grandmother who had never voted a day in her life. In 2009, we worked tirelessly as volunteers on the election campaign of our own Honorable Georgia State Representative Simone Bell.
