| Sweet Vibrations MC is a motorcycle riding club for women grounded within a framework of sisterhood. We are committed to safety, continued education of the sport of motorcycling, and full enjoyment of the motorcycling experience. We believe both in safety of the individual and the collective group and are dedicated to sharing our knowledge about all aspects of motorcycle riding. Sweet Vibrations MC is Atlanta’s special edition to the women’s motorcycle scene. Started in 2003 by Val Acree (Stinger V), Simone Bell (SPEAK), Karen Wood (Special K) and Jena Jones (African Bee), Sweet V is made up of professional women who ride all types of motorcycles from sport bikes to cruisers to touring bikes. Participating in community service and fund raising rides are important to the group. We are proud to have sponsored the Atlanta Women and Children's Shelter by hosting a Back to School Supply Drive. Our efforts yielded over 100 backpacks filled with various school supplies as well as much needed children's under garments. Since its inception, Sweet V has supported rides for Hosea Feed the Hungry, Hurricane Katrina victims, Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Blue Knights, 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Next Level MC, Risque Ladies MC, Reynoldstown Parade and Atlanta’s Gay Pride and Black Gay Pride Parade. Sweet V has rolled out on some fun rides too. Our fun rides have taken us on tours in and around Atlanta as well as through the North Georgia mountains, Tennessee, coastal Savannah, historic Charleston, SC and Alabama. During the summer of 2006, we attended the AMA Women in Motorcycling Conference where we were among more than 1000 women bikers! In August 2007 and April 2008, we tackled the Hell Bender and slew the infamous Dragon of TN SR 129. Throughout the year, we plan rides for beginner as well as experienced riders so that all levels of riders can participate. As our membership grows, we are looking forward to rolling out to even more places with planned rides for all experience levels.
